"Yohsida Brothers"

Super stoked as I said last post got a ton of new music bumped up about 3 gig so I should be pretty busy for a wile. This now puts my music collection at 59.5 gigs! almost to 60.

Anyway the artist you need to check out is the "yoshida brothers". They are a japanese group (im pretty sure its two brothers...) and they are really new and good. I forget what the instrament is called they use but you will recognize it.

Im pretty sure I found them off of a lead I got on Pandora Radio. Thought I would give them a try and it was a solid investment. Im super bummed though becasue where I got the music it did not come with the name of the albums so im not sure which ones im listening to.

So instead I will jsut give you some track names to check out. I think from now on I will just post the link of where to watch/listen to the music along with the track names. but PLEASE comment and tell me if you like that better or if it even makes a difference.

another song I really liked was called "storm". Now I also have a remixed version of storm let me make sure i post the original cuz i liked that one much better.

Wow it actually took me a wile to find a good link to this one on youtube and it showed me again that there are so many links where the music has been mixed or altered! goodness knows if you guys have even been listening to the same stuff I have. If you liked storm maybe try a song from the "Black Hawk Down" soundtrack done by Hans Zimmer (bless his soul). its called "Hunger"

Not that simmilar but try the genre jump and see if you liked one why not the other. Thats a great tool- if you like one song of a genre find something a little simmilar in another genre and see if you like that one to. I like the middle eastern "chant" in both of these songs. I dont know alot about this chant stuff to much but I have learned a little about it and its super interesting. Look into how the middle east says their prayers and its an interesting take on music.

One song that is cool is called tabidachi (starting on a journey) this is a pretty good example of there obviously asian style so its pretty cool.

That is the link tell me if it works or doesnt please!

another song you should take a look at because it shows the diverstiy of the artist is "frontier" this one has a way more modern sound to it. It has all of the strings going and some piano and is more easy to listen to if you will. I like it but its not my favorite but its really cool to see them on all levels.

So enjoy those three my favorite was storm. Im bound to talk about them some more considering I have yet to listen to both there albums for very long so I there are more goodies to be found.

EEEFF oops i accidentally clicked publish post early

ha sorry about that. but where was I..
oh yes, the album that has worked its way up to the other two greats is "everything you need". AWESOME album with some great favorites on it. First, mellow mood is on here, and it really is such a good song. Also classics like "officer" and "sweet honey". I have a really hard time listening to this album becasue i listened to it this brake at home and its all very closesly associated with snowboarding so it brings back tough memories. killing me deep inside and all you need are both grerat tracks to. pretty solid album but you can tell these guys roots seem to have come from late 90's or early 200o's because every once in a wile you will get a total punk rock / garage band song that pops in there haha. but this has to be one of the first fusions of rock as well as reggae.. and suprisingly you can pick up a lot of hip hop influence. what could bet better than a fusion of that?! really awesome stuff.

I gave my brother a cd of the acoustic live and direct (this guy is likely the worlds most critical music listener) and he said on his way from idaho to utah he played the cd on repeat the hole way home wich is suprising because its a pretty short album.

But please readers! let me know what you think of things and let me know if there is any music you would like to find more of for you.

I will be posting more and more i think because im getting into a rythm with school and becoming more adultish and i have lots more time now. so yeah. Im off to mcdonalds to use there internet to get a FAT list of new artists i have been compiling. so ill let you know how that gos.

I just checked my recently added list on itunes and there is some more frank sinatra but also there is a band called "iron and whine" they are pretty good havent given them to much listening but they are SUPER relaxed and chill musicians which can be kind of a bore but they have a few good songs. mess around with that. i like "god made the automobile" song they did.

Hmm what have i been listening to

I have been listening to the band "slightly stoopid" A LOT lately and they are not just some quick one hit wonder they are very bonafied and simply wonderful. Before my fav album was closer to the sun (im sure ive mentioned that) then it pulled to the acoustic live and direct album which is also JUST SO SICK but now the album

a few trip hop goodies

sorry for the lack of posts but it was the holidays. anyway here are just two great songs that are trip hop and cool.
So the first song on the cd titled "susan" i made "no no no" done by "eve". its a hip hop reggae blend and its pretty cool. may seem repeditave and dull but trust me its not i thought that at first. at first it was ketchy and good but i rarely ever listened to it all of the way through even when the cd was done. but now i understand the song so much more and realize thats not bad at all infact the song is much more than just a ketchy quick reggae and hip hom jam fuze. so give it some time. but anyway the song i would like to share today is a remake (im pretty sure this one and the one by eve were remakes to begin with" the track is called
"Non non non" by Daddy G.
Its in french im pretty sure but its basically just more of a trip hop version of the song and it is AWESOME. not sure which is better but still great songs both of them.
The other is
"Look UP" by Zero 7. just a cool song popped onto my pandora give it a listen.
love kenty
please comment!
tell me what you think and what you want to hear more of.
and the "sylvester" cd i made turned out great to bad none of you wanted a copy two great cds!!!
